Tompkins County is surrounded by many natural assets. Water falls, gorges, rivers and woods. But our most important asset is our people. The [40u40] Awards program is designed to find movers and shakers, under the age of 40, that create a measurable impact on our community.
Nominees can be high school students, college students, caregivers, volunteers, business leaders, employees, bosses, choir members, baby sitters, sons and daughters, or anyone in the community under the age of 40. Please view the FAQ page for more information.

To nominate another individual, fill in the nomination form below. Please let us know why the individual is deserving of such an award. The individuals will be judged upon the following criteria: Personal Growth, Community Impact, Leadership and Academic Excellence, Young Professionals not in school will also be judged on their Professional Achievements.
Note: All applications must be received no later than March 15th at 12 noon. Finalists will be announced the beginning of April. Awardees will be honored at an event to be held May 1st hosted by the 2007 Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce Chair, Dave Iles, and keynoted by New York State First Lady, Silda Wall Spitzer.
